fFor darts player Fallon Sherrock, the next milestone should be just the beginning of something bigger. “It’s been a long time!! Just the first of many, hopefully,” Sherrock tweeted late on Saturday, becoming the first woman to score nine darts at a World Association PDC event.
A nine dart game means a perfect game in which the score of 501 is zeroed out with a minimum of nine darts. Sherrock, 28, did it on Saturday in Hildesheim.
She was “totally blown away” by the reaction and “very happy” to be the first woman to throw nine darts in a PDC tournament. At the 2020 World Cup, the Englishwoman became the first woman to win twice in men.
After successes over Ted Evetts (England) and Mensur Suljovic (Austria) in the most important tournament in the world, a big breakthrough was long overdue.
