DThe moment when Bibiane Schulze Solano learned that she had a real chance to fulfill her biggest childhood dream was quite recently. In January, the Bad Soden native was first contacted by Britta Carlson, assistant coach of the German women’s national football team. A good two months later, at the age of 25, she is very close to her greatest personal sporting goal.
Since Easter Monday, Schulze Solano has been preparing in Linz for the German qualifying games for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers. At the end of March, her first nomination came as a big surprise when national team coach Horst Hrubesch announced his squad. The first question the interim coach had to answer concerned the newcomer. Not all media representatives present were previously aware of it.
